Labor Day at First State Heritage Park
Monday, September 2 from 9:30am-4:30pm
Celebrate Labor Day and Native American history with First State Heritage Park! Tour Delaware’s State Capitol building and experience Delaware history with “A Capitol Experience” at Legislative Hall, and celebrate Lenape heritage at the Johnson Victrola Museum by examining the importance of flutes in Native American music and learning how they are made. Visit The Old State House at 2:30 p.m. to learn about Native American regalia and traditional clothing from Native American Flutists, Bo Harris. Walking tours focusing on the Trades of the Dover Green will leave from the John Bell House on the hour from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Celebrate the last night of the Killens Pond Waterpark for the season! Bring your dog, and make a splash to celebrate hte last night of the Killens Pond Waterpark for the 2019 season! All age dogs welcome (as long as they have had a rabies vaccine) – one dog per owner. State or County dog license and leash required. Please bring dogs that play well with others.$7 per dog and owner/ $3 for each additional owner. Learn more!
