Here at Delaware State Parks, we love the Halloween season just as much as you do, and we have spooktacular events happening throughout the state! Check out these programs happening for Halloween weekend.
If you’re looking to tour Bellevue State Park after dark, then Bellevue has the perfect programs for you. On Thursday, October 24, join us for Bellevue Hall “Spirits” Stories and Tour. Hear stories of ghostly experiences at Bellevue Hall, followed by a candle-lit tour-if you dare! Or on Friday, October 25, join us for “Spirits” of Bellevue Grounds Tour. Take a stroll with us as we wander around the park, telling stories of the supernatural, and using our specialized equipment to find some….extra guests. Don’t miss the 30th annual Children’s Fantasy Trail at Cape Henlopen State Park on Friday, October 25 through Sunday, October 26! Put on your best costume and follow the trail lined with jack-o-lanterns to gather candy and toys from your favorite storybook characters. Join First State Heritage Park on Friday, October 25 for Dark Dover Lantern Tour! Witness firsthand true stories of murder and mayhem, then encounter characters whose legends have left their sinister imprint on The Green. This event is not appropriate for children under 10. Harvest Celebration Weekend is back at Killens Pond State Park on Friday, October 25 and October 26! Starting on Friday night, Killens Pond is offering harvest hayrides followed by crackling campfires to end the night. On Saturday, spend your day making scarecrows, carving pumpkins, conducting crazy experiments, and ending the night with a hoot n’ howling night walk! Put on your best costume and join Lums Pond State Park for Halloween Hoot! On Saturday, October 26, Lums Pond campground is hosting a day of Halloween family-fun for everyone. Music, games, pumpkin decorating, crafts, hayrides, and trick or treating will keep you and your family busy all day long.
